Hit 500,000 miles on my old Cummins last Thursday without a rebuild

I've been running this '02 5.9 for 12 years now and the odometer finally rolled over to half a million. Still on the original injectors and I just do oil changes every 5k with Rotella. Anyone else got a high-mileage truck that just won't quit?

Dude that's awesome. My old 12-valve just rolled over 450k and it still starts every single time no matter how cold it gets. Those old Cummins are just built different, regular oil changes and clean fuel is basically all they need.

Mine's a '97 12-valve with 430k and it still rattles the windows on cold starts. I've heard of guys hitting 700k on the P-pump trucks before any major work, just fuel filters and oil changes. Five hundred is a huge milestone though, you earned that one.
