Can we talk about the old school feeler gauge versus a digital one on a 6.7 Powerstroke injector job?

Last week I had to set the valve lash on a 2019 F-250, and I used my regular feeler gauges first. The truck ran rough, so I borrowed a buddy's digital lash tool and found I was off by .002 on three valves. That digital readout just doesn't lie. Anyone else made the switch and noticed a real difference in consistency?

Ugh, that's so frustrating! I've been burned by those tiny differences before too.

Wait is it really that big of a deal though? Like margaret_lane, I get it's annoying but we're talking about a font size change or a button moving two pixels. My phone updates and stuff moves every other week, I just tap where it is now. It's not like they're hiding your pay button.
