Can we talk about people putting DEF in the fuel tank on these newer trucks?
I pulled into a truck stop in Nashville last month and watched a guy dump a whole jug of DEF into his Freightliner's diesel tank, and when I asked him why he said the pump handle was blue so he figured it was the same, so how do we get drivers to actually read the labels before they cost someone 8 grand?

Oh man, that hurts to read. I saw a guy at a Pilot in Georgia try to put washer fluid in the oil filler neck once because the cap was black like the washer fluid bottle cap he had in his hand. He was cussing at the truck like it was the truck's fault. I think some people just see the color of the cap or the pump handle and their brain goes on autopilot. Like they're on such a tight schedule they can't spare the three seconds to look at the big letters that say "DEF" or "DIESEL". The worst part is the truck stop employees probably watched him do it and just figured it wasn't their problem.
