Vent: Tried to use the self-checkout at my local grocery store and the screen text was SO small I had to pull out my reading glasses
I'm only 35 with decent vision and the buttons were literally the size of a grain of rice, has anyone else run into this at a major chain or is it just my store?

My wife and I were at a Target last month trying to buy some gift cards and the self checkout screen had these tiny little virtual buttons that looked like they were made for an ant's fingers. I pressed one and it somehow registered a completely different option so I ended up buying a $50 gift card when I wanted two $25 ones. The machine just beeped at me and flashed this microscopic error message that I couldn't read without practically licking the screen. Had the teenage cashier come over and she just sighed and cancelled the whole transaction for me. Made me feel about 85 years old in a store full of people half my age breezing through.

Girl I swear the same thing happened to me at a Kroger last week. I'm 32 and I had to literally squint and hold my phone flashlight up to the screen just to see if I was hitting "yes" or "no" for the bagging prompts. The worst part was the font color was this faded gray on a white background so it blended right in. I ended up just waving over the teenage employee who probably thought I was a grandma having a stroke. What really gets me is they make these screens so tiny to fit more options but nobody over 25 can actually read them.
