Picked a 24-point font for my aunt's church flyer over the 18-point one she wanted

Oh man, good call. I was just reading something about how a lot of places are using bigger fonts now because so many folks have trouble seeing up close. My dad needs everything huge just to read it. Your aunt's whole congregation will probably thank you when they can actually read the thing without squinting.

But tiny fonts keep things looking clean and professional.

Keep in mind that "clean and professional" means different things to different age groups (my Gen Z coworker thinks tiny text looks sleek, but my parents just call it unreadable). A font that works for a 25-year-old designer might be totally lost on someone with aging eyes or even mild vision issues. Meeting your audience where they are (not where you want them to be) is the real pro move here.
