Noticed the new library downtown put their elevator buttons way too low for wheelchair users

I was at the Austin Public Library on 6th yesterday and had to crouch down to even see the call button on the new elevator panel, which felt completely backwards for a building that just opened - has anyone else run into this kind of placement fail in new construction?

Did you mention it to anyone at the front desk?

Yeah that's a good point, but it's actually the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) not ADA. Idk, maybe it's just me being picky but the acronym gets used wrong a lot.

Mention it to the desk, but also call the city's accessibility office. The ADA has specific height requirements for elevator buttons, and if this is new construction they might need to fix it.
