My buddy's knee injury showed me a big flaw in my fitness app design

I was testing my workout app with a buddy who hurt his knee. He said the exercise clips moved too fast for him to follow. I never thought about how speed locks out people with injuries. Now I add options to slow down videos and clear text guides. This made me see we need to design for all kinds of users. How do you make health apps easy for everyone? I'm curious to hear your tips.

You never even considered the speed thing? That's wild, it never crossed my mind either. Crazy how something so simple gets missed.

Right? @reese_sullivan, it's like we all blinked and missed it (classic oversight).

Disagree that video speed is the main barrier. Some folks learn better from still images with arrows showing movement paths, not moving pictures at all. My aunt with vertigo can't watch any exercise videos but follows step by step photos just fine. Maybe offer multiple formats instead of just slowing down one type. What about audio cues for people who need eyes free guidance?
