Just realized a simple color fix could have saved my neighbor a lot of trouble

My neighbor, who's colorblind, tried to use the new parking app downtown and said, 'I can't tell if this spot is open or taken, the red and green look the same.' Has anyone else had to fix a design after seeing it fail for a real person?

My uncle once printed a whole manual in light gray text.

Our town library website had a similar issue with its event calendar. We added simple text labels like "Open" and "Full" next to the colors. It was a quick backend fix that stopped all the confused calls.
