I finally understood why my color choices were a problem after a user emailed me

They said the light green text on my site's white background was impossible for them to read due to low contrast. I swapped it for a dark blue and it made a huge difference for everyone. Has anyone else had a simple fix that you totally missed before?

Color contrast is such a basic thing but it's easy to overlook. I had a similar issue with a pale gray button on a light background. Changing it to a much darker shade instantly improved our click-through rate. You just don't see it until someone points it out.
