Had a font disaster on a client's wedding invites yesterday
Honestly, I spent three days picking this perfect script font for their save the dates, and when I printed a test page the lowercase 'g' looked completely broken and unreadable. Turns out the free version I downloaded had a missing glyph set nobody mentions in the previews. Has anyone else gotten burned by fonts that just fall apart when you actually use them?

Whoa, I heard about someone getting tricked by a "free font" that was missing half the letters, total nightmare.

Missing half the letters sounds more like a bad download than some big scam. People make mistakes when packaging files all the time, happens every day. You grab a free font off some random blog that was thrown together in ten minutes, you get what you pay for. Its not like someone sat there scheming about how to ruin your document by leaving out the letter Q. Probably just sloppy work by some guy who didnt check his folder before zipping it up.
