Bold color combos work better for blind users than high contrast grayscale

I tested both against screen readers and the bold color version got way fewer errors because people could see enough to navigate without full reliance on audio feedback. Has anyone else found that pure high contrast can actually make things harder for some users?

I read somewhere that high contrast black and white can actually cause eye fatigue for some visually impaired users because it creates afterimages, so the bold color approach kinda makes sense as a middle ground.

Whoa, wait @wren301, afterimages from black and white? That's wild, I never even thought about that being a thing for some folks. Kinda blows my mind that the "safe" high contrast option could actually make things worse for people.
