That $89 auto-layout course was a total waste for me
I bought a fancy auto-layout course last spring after seeing everyone rave about it. The instructor spent 20 minutes on tricks I already knew and then jumped to wild use cases I'll never need in client work. My actual layouts improved more from free YouTube videos by real agency folks. Has anyone else found a paid Figma resource that was actually worth the money?

Ugh, I feel this so hard! The whole "pro tips" section of those courses is usually just them flexing on weird component setups nobody in real client work would ever ask for. I finally got decent at auto-layout when I stopped watching paid stuff and just copied how my favorite agency accounts build their file structures on YouTube. What actually clicked for me was breaking down one real dashboard file they shared, frame by frame, instead of following a 40-minute lecture about nested variants. It's honestly wild how much of that premium content is just repackaged basics with better lighting and a fancier intro. Have you found any specific free channels that actually show the messy, real-world workflow?
