Paid $60 for a Figma auto-layout plugin and it paid for itself in one afternoon

Been putting off fixing a dashboard mockup for a week because every screen had stacked cards with different padding. Saw a plugin that promised to batch apply auto-layout settings across frames. Cost $60 for a yearly license. Ran it on 14 screens Tuesday and it took maybe 3 minutes total. Would have taken me most of the day doing it manually. Now I just wish I bought it sooner. Anyone else tried paid plugins that actually saved time, or do you stick to free ones?

Used to think paid plugins were a scam, like you were just paying for someone to wrap a free script in a pretty box. Then I spent three hours deleting and re-adding padding to a single page because the free options only did one layer at a time. Bought something similar to yours for like half the price, ran it across my whole file in one go. That afternoon saved me a full weekend of grunt work, so yeah, I get it now. Paid plugins are a gamble but when they hit, they really hit. I had a similar situation with a spacing plugin that let me set gaps across like 20 frames at once. Manual work like that is the worst because it's not hard, just tedious, and it eats your whole day. Free plugins cover a lot, but the paid ones usually nail the specific workflow gaps that free stuff ignores. If it saves you a full afternoon on the first use, that math is pretty simple no matter what you paid.
