Visited a co-working space in Austin and noticed their monitor arms were mounted to the wall instead of the desk
I was in Austin last month for a conference and stopped by a co-working spot called The Assembly. Every single desk had monitors floating on wall mounted arms with the cables hidden inside the wall. It made the whole room look SO clean compared to my setup where cables are always dangling down. The best part was how much desk space they saved, I could actually spread out papers without bumping into a monitor base. Has anyone here tried wall mounting their monitors or am I overthinking this?

Bet you anything those arms start sagging within a year if you ever upgrade to a heavier monitor. Plus you're stuck with that exact monitor size and placement forever unless you want to patch drywall holes and repaint.

Does anybody ever think about how wall mounting makes it WAY harder to adjust your ergonomics throughout the day? With desk mounted arms you can scoot closer or tilt the screen whenever you need, but a wall mount puts you in a fixed spot like you're glued to that chair forever. Seems like a downgrade for anyone who likes to switch between sitting and standing throughout their work sessions.
