Vent: My perfect desk cable system got ruined by ONE new light

I spent like 3 hours last month routing EVERYTHING under my desk, zip ties and all, looked so clean. Then I added this stupid little desk lamp from Target and the cord is 2 inches too short to reach my power strip. Now I got a black extension cord just snaking across the floor and it's the ONLY thing my eyes see when I sit down. Has anyone found a way to hide a cord that just won't cooperate?

Man, I once dropped my phone behind my desk and when I fished it out I just yanked a whole power strip off the wall, took me an hour to get everything plugged back in. You could try one of those flat white extension cords that blend into baseboards, they're cheap and way less obvious. Or just get a second power strip on the other side of the desk and pretend you planned it that way.

Huh, did the power strip survive that or did you have to replace it too? Those things can get pretty beat up from a yank like that.

Grant telling me to "just get a second power strip" like I haven't already accumulated four of them from lost causes like this. Ever tried pretending six cables going different directions was intentional?
