TIL a coaster from my cafe hop in Paris stops my mouse from sliding.
Such an easy fix from a fun memory.

My old textbook cover actually works great for that. The slightly rough plastic surface gives the mouse sensor way more grip than a glossy desk. Had the same sliding issue with my laptop until I just left the book under the mouse. Now it's a permanent desk fixture. Way better than buying a new pad.
