That 2019 trip to IKEA changed my whole cable flow

Stood in the self-serve bin area staring at a $3 bag of clips and realized my messy under-desk rats nest was why I dreaded sitting down. Now every cord has a lane, and I actually look forward to plugging in my laptop on Monday mornings. Anyone else had a random retail moment that reorganized their workspace thinking?

The $3 bag of clips thing, I gotta push back on that a little. Those little plastic clips are fine for a month, maybe two, but the adhesive gives out and then you've got cords dangling again, which is basically the same rats nest with extra steps. I've bought like four different bags of those things and every single one ended up in the same sad state. What actually stuck for me was those velcro straps you can cut to length, the ones that wrap around the bundle and stay put. You gotta commit to the full route too, not just clip the middle of the cord but actually trace where it goes from the wall to the desk and give it a clear path. The real change comes from running the cords along the back edge of the desk with those cable raceway channels, the ones that snap open and shut, because then nothing is touching the floor and you can vacuum without a panic attack.

Have you tried the raceway channels with the adhesive backing or the screw-in kind?
