My studio's new 'minimalist' layout is a total trip hazard after dark.

Redid everything last Friday, but now I keep kicking my subwoofer walking back from the kitchen at night. Anyone got a good low-profile speaker mount they actually use?

Honestly, I just screwed mine to the wall with a cheap floating shelf.

Wait, did you use like a regular Ikea shelf or something with a lip? I tried a floating shelf once for my pedalboard and totally miscalculated the weight, so it ended up sagging in the middle and all my pedals slid off in the middle of the night. Scared the heck out of my cat, she thought it was an earthquake or something. Now I just have it sitting on a beat-up old nightstand I found at a garage sale for like 5 bucks. It's ugly but it works and my toes are safe.

Yeah, that "walking back from the kitchen at night" part is so real. I've stubbed my toe on my own gear more times than I can count. A shelf mount was a total game changer for me.
