My desk faced the window for years, but I finally flipped it around last week.
I was tired of the glare on my screen and chose to face the wall instead, even though I love the view. Now I just have a small mirror propped up so I can still see the skyline. Has anyone else done something similar and found it helped them focus?

I mean it's just a desk facing a different way, not a life hack. The mirror thing seems like extra steps for a view you gave up.

Okay but @amy_mitchell what if your only window looks at a brick wall? The mirror trick gives you light and the feeling of space without turning your back on the door, which some people really need to focus. It's not about the view, it's about not feeling boxed in. Calling it just a turned desk misses the whole point of working with the room you actually have.

Extra steps for a view you gave up" is exactly it. People are acting like facing a wall is some huge mental health crisis. It's a desk. You sit there and work. The mirror thing feels like making a problem just to have a solution to post about. Not everything needs to be optimized into a life hack. Sometimes a bad view is just a bad view.
