My $40 cable sleeve took 3 hours to install and still looks bad
I spent a whole Sunday afternoon threading every dang wire through that mesh tube under my desk in Portland, and now the clamps keep sliding off every time I move my feet. Has anyone found a zip tie trick that actually holds those things in place, or should I just give up and hide everything behind a cheap panel?

Zip ties alone will still slide on that mesh honestly. The mesh tube itself is the problem, its slick and round so nothing grips it right. What actually works is putting a small piece of double sided tape or a dab of hot glue between the clamp and the underside of the desk first, then running the zip tie through the clamp and around the bundle. That way the clamp sticks to the desk and the tie just holds the wires snug, so when you kick it nothing moves. Also worth checking that the clamps are the screw in kind and not the sticky back ones, because those peel off the second your foot bumps them.
