Ditched my expensive monitor arm for a cheap gas spring model off Amazon after 6 months of wobbling on my oak desk.

I had my $300 Ergotron perfectly level and it still shook with every keystroke so I grabbed a $40 VIVO last Monday and now my screen doesn't move at all - has anyone else found that price doesn't always mean stable with monitor mounts?

Man the wobble thing is so real. @finley_walker57 is spot on about the VIVO being rock solid. I grabbed one last week and it doesn't budge even when I slam my elbows on the desk typing. Can't believe I wasted so long thinking expensive meant better.

That VIVO mount is rock solid, had the same wobble problem with my gas spring before I switched too.

Haha yeah my gas spring makes a weird creaking sound every time I adjust it now. Maybe it's just me but wobble drives me crazy when I'm trying to do work. I'm seriously considering that VIVO mount after reading this. Probably cheaper than replacing my whole setup anyway. Honestly my current one is held together with tape and hope at this point.
