Appreciation post: I thought a monitor light bar was just a fad until I tried one last month
My partner got me a BenQ ScreenBar for my birthday, and I was sure it was a gimmick that would just add more cables. After using it for three weeks, the glare on my screen is gone and my eyes don't feel tired at the end of the day like they used to. Has anyone else found a small add-on that made a bigger difference than you expected?

Yeah I thought it was just a mood light too, but that even light thing is a total game changer for my desk.

You mentioned color accuracy for creative work. That's actually the main reason I got mine. It gives a really even light across the whole desk without any hot spots or glare on the screen. I do photo editing and the neutral light helps me see colors on the monitor more correctly, especially in a dark room. It's not just about reducing eye strain from reading text. The even light stops weird color casts from my overhead lamp messing with my perception. It turned out to be a tool, not just a mood light.

What kind of work do you do at your desk? I'm curious if the light bar helps more with reading text or if it makes a difference for color accuracy on creative stuff too.
