That feedback about my morning board threw me off at first

A client told me my daily schedule board was too scattered and looked like a to-do list from 3 different people. At first I got defensive, but then I looked at it again and they were right. I cut it down to just 3 priority blocks per day instead of cramming every little task in there. Has anyone else had a client or friend call out something obvious you were blind to?

My friend's partner told her she was overthinking her meal prep, she cut it to three recipes and actually cooked them now.

Yeah that bit about looking like a to-do list from 3 different people hit home for me. I had a client once say my weekly planner was 'optimistic but not realistic' and I was pissed for a whole day. But they were right, I was trying to fit 10 hours of work into a 6 hour day. Cutting to 3 priority blocks is smart, I do something similar now and it actually saves time because I'm not bouncing around. Sometimes the hard feedback is the most useful, even when it stings at first.

Eight years of bullet journaling taught me I can plan a perfect day I will never actually live through. @nancy3 your friend's meal prep story reminds me of the week I planned to cook six new recipes and ended up ordering pizza three nights in a row. Three priority blocks sounds way better than my current system of writing down everything I hope to do and crying about it later.
