Talked to my neighbor about his daily routine and it threw me for a loop
He was telling me how he wakes up at 5 AM every day to read for an hour before the kids get up... and I just sit there scrolling my phone until I have to rush out the door. It hit me that I've been blaming my lack of time on external stuff when maybe I just need to start the day different. Has anyone else had a casual conversation that made you totally rethink your morning setup?

What book did he pick for that first hour?

Wait, isnt that the guy who read The Count of Monte Cristo for his first reading hour? I thought he picked something way more obvious like Moby Dick or War and Peace but I swear I remember him saying he went with Dumas because it was the longest book he could find at the time. Actually I just looked it up and yeah, he picked The Count of Monte Cristo but he didn't even finish it in that first hour, he just read a few chapters and called it done. So the whole "read an entire book in an hour" thing is kind of misleading.
