Showerthought: I dropped $300 on a planner system and it just collects dust now
I saw this fancy binder with all these sections for goals, habits, and weekly reviews. It looked perfect for getting my life together. The thing is, it was so complicated to set up that I spent more time organizing the planner than actually doing the things I wrote down. Now it just sits on my shelf, and I'm back to using notes on my phone. Has anyone else bought a tool that was supposed to fix everything but just made it harder?

Totally get that. I bought a bullet journal and spent hours drawing perfect layouts. Felt like homework. I switched to a cheap notebook and just write three things I need to do each day. Crossing them off feels good and I don't waste time making it pretty. The simple list on my fridge works better than any fancy system ever did.

Yeah, that fridge list idea from @sandra146 is smart. I tried a fancy app that made me categorize tasks by energy level, and it just stressed me out more. Now I just scribble on a whiteboard and erase stuff when it's done.
