Just realized my buddy was right about morning routines...

Was talking to my neighbor Dave last week. He's a retired carpenter, always up at 5am. He said the secret to his whole day was not checking his phone for the first hour. I laughed it off at first but then I tried it for 3 days straight. My brain actually felt clearer before work. Has anyone else had a simple habit shift like that change how you plan your day?

Is it true that your brain needs that wind down time before jumping into the digital world? I read somewhere that looking at screens first thing messes with your natural cortisol and melatonin levels. Switching to a cup of coffee and some quiet time before grabbing my phone made a big difference for me.
