Just crunched the numbers on my daily commute time over 8 years

I found out I've spent roughly 4,800 hours commuting since 2016 and that's the same as 200 full days of my life I could have used for building that side business I keep talking about starting - has anyone here actually made a big change to reclaim that time?

Bruh 200 full days gone just sitting in traffic? That's brutal man.

That "200 full days" number does sound rough, but I think it might be a bit off. If you drive 30 minutes each way to work and back, that's about 250 hours a year, which works out to roughly 10 full days. Over a 40 year career that's maybe 400 days total, not 200 in one go. Still way too much time wasted no matter how you calculate it. But the math makes it seem even more crazy than it already is.
