Finally got my weekly schedule to stop looking like a toddler drew it
I tried to make a simple time blocking system for my work and home life. I thought it would take maybe an afternoon to set up. It ended up taking me three full weeks of tweaking and failing. The big issue was trying to fit in deep work while also having space for chores and my kid's school stuff. I finally got it right by using a basic paper planner and color coding with highlighters, not some fancy app. Has anyone else found that the simple tools work better for planning your days?

Watched my friend spend months trying every digital planner out there. He finally grabbed a cheap notebook and some colored pens, said it just clicked when he could see his whole week without tapping through menus.

Right? Why are apps so overcomplicated?

Yeah the "clicked when he could see his whole week" thing hits hard. I tried three different habit tracker apps last month and they all had some stupid premium feature locked behind a paywall. @lucaslane's friend probably saved himself a headache - I ended up drawing a simple grid on my fridge whiteboard for the same reason. Sometimes the dumb simple stuff just works better.
