Bought a $400 standing desk frame in 2019, still kicking today
Back in 2019 I dropped $400 on a motorized frame from a local shop in Boise, thought it was reckless at the time. Five years later, it's been through two apartments, one move, and daily 8 hour shifts without a hiccup. My buddy spent $150 on a crank model last year and the gears strip out every few months, he's on his second replacement. I guess the extra cash bought me peace of mind, but I wonder if I got lucky with the controls. Anyone else have gear that outlived its expected lifespan and made you feel silly for hesitating?
