A random guy at the coffee shop in Denver asked me about my notebook system
I was sketching out my weekly plan at this little spot on Colfax Avenue, and he leaned over and said, 'That's a lot of color coding, what's it all for?' I explained it was my 'life design' experiment to track energy levels versus tasks, and he just nodded and said, 'Makes sense, you gotta build the system that fits your own weird brain.' Has anyone else had a simple chat with a stranger that actually validated a personal system you were trying out?

Colfax Avenue, seriously? That's the last place I'd expect to find someone who gets it. I was at a cafe there last month and a guy told me my bullet journal looked like a serial killer's scrapbook. The fact that someone not only noticed but actually understood your system is wild. Denver's full of surprises I guess. That kind of random validation can make you stick with a system for months.

Right? I got the same thing at a bookstore once and it totally kept me going for weeks.

What did your bullet journal look like that made him say that? Mine is just grids and lists, nothing wild. I'm trying to picture what comes off as serial killer vibes to a stranger in a cafe. Was it the handwriting or like, how you laid it all out? That comment would have stuck with me too.
