Wasted $200 on a Wacom tablet that collects dust now
I bought a fancy Wacom Intuos Pro back in 2019 thinking it would speed up my vector work. Cost me about $200 and I used it maybe 10 times total. Turns out I'm just way faster with a mouse and keyboard combo for my workflow. The pen feels unnatural for me and I kept losing the nibs. It's been sitting in a drawer for 2 years now. Anyone else blow money on a tool that sounded good but just didn't click with how you actually work?

That sucks man, $200 is a lot to drop on something that just sits there. Same thing happened to me with a drawing tablet a few years back, thought it would make digital art easier but my hand coordination just wasn't there. Ended up selling mine on Craigslist for like 40 bucks just to get it out of the house. Hope you can recoup some of that loss at least.

Totally agree @blair_dixon, it's brutal when you hype yourself up for something and it just collects dust. I did the same with a nice DSLR camera I bought used, thought I'd get into photography but I barely touched it after the first week. Ended up selling it on Facebook Marketplace for like half what I paid, which stung but at least it wasn't just sitting there. The worst part is knowing you could have used that money for something you'd actually use. Feels like a dumb tax you pay for trying something new. Hope you can at least get a bit back from yours.
