Stop nesting your groups 5 levels deep in Figma
I keep getting other people's files and the layers panel is a MESS. It takes me 15 extra minutes just to find one button because someone nested everything inside 6 frames. Why not just flatten it to 2 or 3 levels max? Has anyone else had to deal with this?

...and I'm the one who does this to myself. I looked at my own file the other day and it was like 8 deep with some random frame just hanging out in the middle. Felt like a real dummy. How do people keep it all straight?

Are you talking about those "Auto Layout" nests that just keep going forever? I totally get it, because I've opened files where a single button is buried inside like 12 frames, all because someone auto-layered everything without ever flattening it. What bugs me is how hard it is to just grab one element without dragging a whole group of stuff with you. It'd be way faster to make a couple big groups with clear names than to dig through a hundred tiny frames that all look the same.
