Found it in a UX research paper from Nielsen Norman Group. How do you organize your assets to cut that time down?

Stick to a strict naming system for everything. My team uses project code, date, and version number in every file name. We keep all final assets in a single cloud drive with clear folder trees by client and year. Searching is a last resort.
