PSA: Lost 8 hours and $150 on a font I didn't actually need

I spent forever looking for the perfect typeface for a client project last month. Ended up buying a $150 commercial license for this fancy display font. Turns out the client never even used it in the final design, they just wanted Arial. I wasted a whole day downloading and testing fonts that I could have saved by asking one simple question upfront. Has anyone else spent money on assets that never made it into the final product?

Hard disagree. That $150 saved you from a bigger mistake later.

Read an article last week about how most small mistakes like that are actually warnings in disguise. That $150 probably saved OP from a much bigger headache down the road with the car or the seller. Sometimes the universe sends a cheap lesson and it's smart to take it.
