Just found out 90% of my design mockups were using wrong font weights from an old spec sheet

I was digging through some client project files from 8 months ago and realized the brand guidelines I was using had an outdated version of the font weights, meaning half my comps were heavier than intended. On one hand, the client never noticed, so maybe it doesn't matter. On the other hand, does that mean I should just eyeball it from now on instead of sticking to strict specs?

Man, that's a rough find but honestly you're not alone, I've had that same sinking feeling digging through old files. Does it really count as a mistake if nobody spotted it, or is that just design freedom in disguise?

My buddy Mike kept a bunch of old mix CDs in his truck for like 8 years. Had this one track that he swore was some obscure B-side from a band we liked in high school. Turns out it was just a local garage band demo he downloaded off Limewire and the name was wrong. He played it for years thinking it was this cool rare find. Nobody ever told him different because nobody else cared that much about the track list.
