Found a simple grid trick that cut my logo revisions in half
I was struggling with client feedback where logos looked fine on my screen but felt off in their mockups. Last week I tried overlaying a golden ratio grid right inside Figma using a plugin. It took like 2 minutes to set up but suddenly the spacing and proportions made sense to everyone. My client literally said "that's exactly what I was picturing" after I adjusted the mark to line up with the grid. I also started using a 12 column grid for all my web layouts now and it saves so much tweaking later. Has anyone else tried using grids for things like icon sets or just me?

Man that's a great feeling when a client finally says "that's it" instead of making you guess again and again. I've been there too many times, just spinning my wheels on revisions that never seemed to land right. Simple systems like grids take all the guesswork out, and honestly it's wild more people don't lean on them from the start. You'd think spacing and alignment would be obvious, but it's easy to overlook when you're deep in the creative weeds. Really happy that trick worked out for you, stuff like that makes the whole process less painful for everyone.

@shah.evan totally feel this - grids are literally cheat codes for design but people sleep on them til they've wasted hours on guesswork. once you lock in that spacing it's like the whole thing just clicks for the client.
