Blew $150 on a 'smart' color calibration tool that barely works

Ngl, I dropped $150 on a X-Rite i1Display Studio last month thinking it would fix my screen issues, but it just made everything look washed out and I had to revert. Anyone else find that manual calibration with built-in OS tools actually gives better results for less?

Your $150 tool probably requires more than 10 minutes of fiddling to dial it in.

Funny how that applies to everything these days. People drop a ton of cash on something and then act like it should just magically work perfect right out of the box. Meanwhile the cheap stuff might need a little tinkering but once you figure it out it's just as good. It's like that with cars, phones, even relationships lol. Everyone wants instant perfection but the real value is in the little bit of effort you put into making something work for you.
