A client in Seattle asked me to show them my messy Figma file
They said seeing the layers and components all over the place made the final design feel more real and less like magic. It happened during a screen share last Tuesday. Now I don't spend hours cleaning up files before reviews. Does anyone else share their process mess with clients?

Messy files are just messy files. It's not some deep insight into the creative process. My last client would have asked why the layers weren't named properly. Showing a cluttered workspace can backfire and make you look disorganized. Sometimes clean files are just more professional.

Used to think that was unprofessional... but hearing that makes total sense. Might start doing the same thing.

Started putting my phone on silent during deep work hours. It cut out the constant pings and let me actually finish things. The quality of my output went way up.
