The $35 zine kit that sat in my closet for 9 months
I bought this all-in-one zine making kit back in March, staples, nice paper, even a tiny binding tool. Cost me 35 bucks and I was so excited, but life happened and it just sat there collecting dust. Finally pulled it out last week to make a little comic for a friend's show and honestly, it was worth every penny. The paper is perfect for risograph style prints and the stapler actually reaches the fold. I guess my point is, sometimes the gear is fine, you just need to carve out the time. Anyone else got a physical design tool they hoarded before finally using it?

A buddy of mine bought a fancy paper cutter and let it sit in his garage for two years before he finally used it to trim photos for his kids' school project. Turns out it worked perfectly, he just needed a reason to break the box open. Sometimes the tool does its job, it's the motivation that's the real bottleneck.
