My old printing guy said to always add 2% magenta to skin tones...
I ignored him for like 3 years cause I thought I knew better. Last batch of event flyers for a festival in Austin came back with everyone looking like zombies. Never skipping that step again, have you guys found any other offset printing tricks like that?

Read 5% cyan in shadows helps keep neutrals from going muddy.

Oh man, that 2% magenta thing is gospel in my shop now (learned it the hard way back in 2013 during a wedding album run). Also, a buddy showed me that bumping black text to 60c40m40y100k stops it from looking washed out on coated stock.
