Had a nightmare week with a zine print run in Denver last month

I ordered 200 copies of my new zine from a local printer and the binding glue failed on 150 of them by day two. The pages just fell out on the table at a market, is there a way to test binding strength before you commit to a full run?

Try the pull test @morgan_jenkins90 mentioned. I'd just yank hard on a sample page before the full run. Better safe than sorry.

Oh man, that sucks for sure. But is it really the end of the world? Zines are kinda supposed to be scrappy and DIY anyway, right? I mean, having pages fall out at a market sounds annoying but also kind of adds to the whole underground, punk rock vibe. If you're that worried, just grab a couple copies from a test print and try to pull the pages out yourself before you order a whole batch.
