Found a zine at a coffee shop that changed how I do flyers

Picked up this underground music zine in Portland last weekend. Hand-stapled, photocopied, rough edges. My digital flyers always looked too clean. Compared them side by side and the zine just had more life. That crummy low-ink look works better than my glossy PDFs every time. Anyone else ditch digital for raw handmade stuff?

Scored an old desktop publishing program at a thrift store for five bucks. It runs on a computer from 2004 but the font options are wild. Made a show poster using nothing but clip art and that jagged text tool. Looked like something from a 1987 punk show. My buddy tried to fix the alignment and I told him no, that crooked mess is the whole point now.
