Walked into a coffee shop in Portland and their menu board was impossible to read from 6 feet away

I was grabbing a latte last weekend and stood there squinting for like 2 full minutes before i gave up and just ordered the same thing i always get. They used this super thin light gray font on a white background. Looked nice up close but from where you stand in line it was just a blur. Thought about saying something to the barista but figured that'd be weird. Has anyone else run into a shop or restaurant with a menu design that looks good but totally fails at the actual point of being readable?

That's frustrating for sure, bad design choices like that drive me crazy too.

Made the rookie mistake of buying one without checking reviews first and now I'm just staring at it like 'what did I do to deserve this'. We live and we learn I guess.
