Stuck between Canva and Figma for my first newsletter design
I spent 3 hours making a test newsletter in Canva and it looked great until I tried to resize it for mobile and everything broke. Switched to Figma and it took another 2 hours to rebuild, but at least the text boxes actually work. Anyone else bounce between these two depending on the job?

Funny enough, neither is really built for what you're trying to do if you want clean mobile resizing. Email newsletters are a different beast than normal design - they rely on old school HTML tables that neither tool handles well. Might be worth looking into a purpose-built email builder like BeeFree or just coding it by hand once you nail the layout.

Man, I feel you on this one. "A different beast" is right - email design is like stepping into a time machine every time you have to deal with it. I've been down that road with Mailchimp and other tools that promise the world but fall apart on mobile. It's honestly such a headache when you spend hours on a layout only to see it break in Gmail or Outlook. @the_ben is spot on about going with a purpose built builder, sometimes the simpler tool saves you from pulling your hair out later.
