Showerthought: I used to obsess over perfect color theory but now I just pick three colors from a photo I like.
Last Tuesday while redesigning my portfolio I grabbed a sunset photo from my phone and pulled three hex codes from it instead of spending two hours on Adobe Color, and the layout finally felt cohesive - has anyone else ditched the color wheel for real-world sources?

Doesn't a sunset know more about color than any color wheel ever could? Real sources just hit different (and faster too).

Used to think color wheels were the only way, but stealing from a good photo just makes more sense now.
