Kerning is NOT optional, people, I learned this the hard way on a flyer

Last month I made a flyer for my neighbor's garage sale and used Comic Sans with zero spacing adjustments. A guy walked up and asked if it said 'bike sale' or 'bake sale', I was SO embarrassed. Turns out bad kerning makes words look like they're fighting each other and nobody can read your message. How do you guys practice spacing without losing your mind?

Dude, bad spacing is like people who don't use turn signals, nobody knows what's coming next.

Saw a post about this on Twitter recently where someone compared it to mispronouncing your own name, like bro just stop flexing and learn the basics. It throws off the whole flow of reading when words are crammed together or spaced way too far apart. Honestly makes me wonder if people even proofread before hitting send.
