A guy on Reddit told me to ditch the drop shadows, wish I had listened sooner
He said my logo looked like it was floating in a fog, so I removed them in Photoshop yesterday and suddenly the whole thing looks 10 times cleaner, anyone else fight this habit?

Maybe it's just me but drop shadows can work if they're subtle and match the brand vibe. I've seen logos where they actually add depth and make it pop, especially on dark backgrounds. But yeah, if it looks like fog, that's a different story.
