Finally got my component library to 100% coverage last Friday after 8 months

I had 47 components that were half-baked with no documentation or tests. My team at a small agency in Austin just let me spend half days cleaning it up and we finally hit full parity last week. Anyone else have a design system cleanup project that took way longer than you thought it would?

Haha yeah that's fair. Thought coverage was just about ticking boxes until I saw a teammate's "100% covered" modal that crashed when you spammed the close button. Numbers lie sometimes.

Wait, does "100% coverage" mean you've tested every possible state for each component, or just that every component now has at least some tests? I've seen teams celebrate hitting a coverage number only to realize they weren't testing for loading states, error handling, or edge cases like empty data. We had a button component that passed all our tests but broke when someone passed a really long label string. Coverage percentages can be misleading if you're not also looking at what exactly you're testing.
