Finally found my old design system file from 2019 and laughed out loud

Last weekend I opened a folder from a project I did for a startup in Austin, and my entire 'design system' was just a single Sketch file with 5 button variations and a color palette I named things like 'blueberry' and 'tomato'. I had no token system, no component library, and I was just manually copying and pasting colors into every screen like a mad person. Has anyone else dug up old work and cringed at how basic your system used to be?

Did you actually name the layers in that Sketch file something useful, or was it a mess of 'Rectangle 47' and 'Copy of Copy of Home'? Because mine had zero organization and I remember spending more time hunting for things than actually designing. I still wonder how that startup shipped anything on time with that setup.
