Warning: check the lighting before you pick your paint colors
Went to a new showroom in Austin last week and watched a client pick a warm beige that turned straight up gray under the shop's cool LEDs, so please test your samples under real room light before you commit to a full gallon.

Man that's the worst feeling. It's wild how much those store lights mess with your perception. I had a buddy paint his whole living room a "soft gray" that looked perfect in the store but turned straight blue at home under his warm lamps. He ended up having to do three coats of a different color to fix it. Always take a sample card home and tape it to the wall you're actually painting. Check it at different times of day too cause morning sun vs evening lamp can change things just as much.

That "soft gray" turning blue is brutal, I've seen the same thing happen with taupe. @reese551 you're spot on about checking samples at different times of day, the morning light alone can flip a color on its head. Pure sympathy here, it's a easy mistake that costs way too much time and money to fix.
